Composition:

ბრიმონიდინის ტარტრატი (სელექციური a2, ადრენომიმეტიკი) ხსნარის 1 მლ. შეიცავს 2 მგ. ბრიმონიდინის ტარტრატს, რომელიც 1.3 მგ. ბრიმონიდინის ექვივალენტურია.

Composition: The active substance is Brimonidine Tartrate. 1 ml of solution contains 2 mg of brimonidine tartrate, which is equivalent to 1.3 mg of brimonidine.

Pharmacological Properties:

Briglau PPH is used to lower eye pressure.
It can be used alone or in combination with other eye drops to lower elevated eye pressure caused by open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
The active ingredient in Briglau PPH is brimonidine tartrate, which lowers eye pressure.

Indications:

  • Open-angle glaucoma
  • Intraocular hypertension

Dosage:

12 years Older children and adults:

  • The usual dose is one drop twice daily in the affected eye, about 12 hours apart.

12 years young children

  • Briglau PPH is not used in children younger than 2 years.
  • Briglau PPH is not recommended for use in children aged 2 to 12 years.

Contraindication:

Do not accept:

– if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to brimonidine tartrate or any of the other ingredients of Briglau PPH (see section 6 and end of section 2).

– if you are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or certain antidepressants (eg tricyclic antidepressants or mianserin). If you are already taking an antidepressant, ask your doctor if Briglau PPH can be used.

– If you are a nursing mother.

– in newborns/children (from birth to 2 years).

Side effects:

 

Allergic eye reactions, blisters or white spots on the conjunctiva, blurred vision, eye redness, burning sensation, foreign body sensation or itching.

Common: changes in the surface of the eye, inflammation of the eyelid, inflammation of the conjunctivitis, deterioration of vision, swelling of the eyelid or conjunctiva, sensitivity to light, irritation, redness of the eyelid, deafness, pain, dryness, erosion and discoloration of the ocular surface, tearing or whitening of the conjunctiva.

Warnings:

Briglau PPH is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. If Briglau PPH is prescribed to a child younger than 12 years, consult a doctor.

Storage method:

– Keep out of the reach of children

– Do not store at a temperature higher than 25°C.

– Do not use the vial if the protective cap of the vial is damaged before the first use

— Use within 28 days of drying.

Each vial contains 5 ml of eye drops.
